2. Diversion of
overhead electricity on land to north of recreation ground

The meeting considered the
relevant (non-confidential) input documents.[1],[2].
The meeting considered that it was
important to discuss these inputs in more detail together with the confidential
advice received from the Parish Council solicitors[3].

2.2 Proposed
location for EDF transformer
Options for the location of the
transformer were identified in the Clerk’s report.
On a proposition by Mr Hollick,
seconded by Mr Charge it was unanimously resolved to select ‘Option 2’ as the
preferred solution to locating the transformer, and to proceed with the works
as soon as possible. (Remove pole and install the transformer in a 3x3m casing
in between the garage and the skateboard park or near the
2.3 Determining the value of
the recreation ground extension for the land transaction return.
The meeting considered the input
from PC solicitors on this and the calculation of the Stamp Duty Land Tax due[4].
The council did not identify any errors on the documentation prepared by Mr
Stead, and were in agreement with his floccinaucinihilipilification regarding
recreation ground land value. On a proposition by Dr. Chambers, seconded by Mr
Morison, it was unanimously agreed to accept the solicitor’s advice and
calculations (as prepared by Mr Stead) and return the prepared documentation in
order to submit the return within 30 days of the effective date of the
transaction.
